Is Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador a ‘beauty pageant’?
No! Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador is a not-for-profit leadership program providing young women with a positive, enriching personal development experience that empowers them to build brighter futures. We were one of the first competitions of this kind in Canada and many organizations now follow our lead.
Do scholarship winners receive immediate cash awards?
Winners receive their scholarships when they have provided proof of enrollment at a recognized post-secondary institution.
What do sponsors receive for supporting me?
Sponsors receive recognition on our website, in the event program book, as well as in your on-stage introduction during the Awards Gala.
If I win the title, will it interfere with school and require me to travel?
No! School is your priority. Our Board of Directors will work with you to make your year memorable. We will schedule as many events as possible, particularly those where you can volunteer with community and charitable organizations. You are encouraged to participate in events within your region. Your input and ideas for events is welcomed.
Am I required to stay at the hotel with the other participants?
Hotel accommodations are provided for Thursday and Friday (May 28 and 29). Accommodations are NOT provided for Saturday, May 30. Should you choose to not stay at the hotel, you must notify the Board of Directors upon acceptance into the program (No later than May 16, 2026). Participants who do not stay at host hotel are expected to attend all scheduled program activities, be on time, and travel with participants and chaperones on the transportation provided.
What is the registration fee for the Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Leadership Program?
The registration fee is $375. A $75 deposit is required with your application. The remaining $300 must be paid in full by May 16, 2026.
Payments should be made by email transfer, postal money order or bank draft. Please DO NOT send cash. Email transfers should be sent to: nlachievement@gmail.com using the password: MANL2026. Email transfer is the preferred method of payment. Participants may choose to pay the entire registration fee when submitting their applications. The registration fee covers hotel accommodations, meals, event transportation, event activities, and event T-shirt and sash.
NOTE: There is no registration fee discount for participants who choose to not stay at the hotel.

When is the Leadership Awards Show and where family and friends can purchase tickets.
Your weekend of fun, personal development and friendly competition culminates with the Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Leadership Awards Show on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Holy Heart Theatre in St. John’s. Tickets will be available on May 4, 2026, and can be purchased from the box office at: 55 Bonaventure Avenue, or by calling: 709-579-4424. Reserve your tickets early for best possible seating.
