About the Program

The Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Leadership Program established in 2006, is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering and nurturing the potential of young women ages 13-18 in grades 7-12 throughout our province.

Our mission is to inspire and support these young women in their journey toward leadership, personal growth, and academic excellence. Through the awarding of scholarships and a commitment to mentorship, community engagement, and the celebration of individuality, we strive to foster a generation of confident, educated, and community-minded leaders.

KEY PRINCIPLES

Empowerment: We believe in the power of each young woman’s unique abilities and potential. Our program empowers them to discover, embrace, and utilize their strengths.

Leadership Development: We are committed to cultivating leadership skills in our participants, equipping them with the tools and confidence to become leaders in their communities and beyond.

Education: We champion the value of education and offer scholarship opportunities to support academic aspirations, encouraging a commitment to lifelong learning.

Community Engagement: We emphasize the importance of active citizenship and community involvement. Participants are encouraged to give back to their communities through meaningful service and engagement.

Diversity and Inclusivity: We celebrate diversity and inclusivity, fostering an environment where young women from all backgrounds can come together to learn, grow, and make a positive impact.

Through these principles, the Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Leadership Program seeks to create a brighter future for our province by nurturing the potential of young women, promoting leadership, and instilling the values of integrity, resilience, and a commitment to the betterment of Newfoundland and Labrador.
